Plesiobatidae - deepwater stingrays

There is one species in this family. The deepwater stingray is found in the Indian and western Pacific Oceans. It has rounded pectoral fins, a pointed snout, a short tail with a stinger and long caudal fin. It eats small fish, eels, and crustaceans.
